Former governor of Kano state and senator representing Kano central, Rabiu Kwankwaso, met with former president of Nigeria and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Goodluck Jonathan, in his Abuja residence.
The details of the meeting between the two is yet to be revealed to the press but sources claimed the purpose of Kwankwaso's visit to the former president was to discuss his 2019 presidential ambition.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Kwankwaso, who recently left the All Progressives Congress for the PDP, visited Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state on Monday, August 14.

Both leaders held a meeting, with Kwankwaso declaring that Wike deserved to be reelected in 2019.
Kwankwaso was in the state on a condolence visit to Governor Wike over the death of the attorney general of Rivers state, Emmanuel Aguma (SAN).
He was accompanied by a former governor of Edo state, Lucky Igbinedion, and a former presidential economic adviser, Magnus Kpakol.
