- A lawmaker, Danlami Kurfi, has called on Katsina pilgrims in Saudi Arabia to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari
- He also called for prayers for the forthcoming 2019 election
- Kurfi made the call while making Eid-El-Kabir donations to his constituency pilgrims in Saudi Arabia
The member of the House of Representatives has called for prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Danlami Kurfi, the lawmaker representing Kurfi/Dutsinma federal constituency,urged pilgrims observing the Hajj in Saudi Arabia to use the opportunity to commit Nigeria's leader, President Buhari, the governor of Katsina state, Aminu Masari and the forthcoming election into God's hand.
Speaking to pilgrims from Kurfi/Dutsinma constituency Kurfi also donated fifty Saudi Riyals to them.
One of the beneficiaries, Bishir Muhammad, expressed appreciation to the law maker for his concerned over the pilgrims from Dutsinma/ Kurfi constituency. He said the contribution has helped most of the pilgrims in solving some of their immediate needs while performing their spiritual activities on the holy land.
Muhammad also called on other lawmakers at the National Assembly to emulate routed policy of religious tolerance by extending similar gesture to the pilgrims of their constituencies.
He added that the pilgrims were completely overwhelmed with surprised when they were on one of the climax of Hajj exercise which is standing at mount Arafat they were issued with such assistance.
Another pilgrim and beneficiary of the contribution, Ahmad Kurfi, said before the departure of Dutsinma/Kurfi intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, the lawmaker was known for complementing the affairs of Hajj exercise in providing Ihram clothes to them.
He said: "It had become imperative for us to compensate the lawmaker by offering the best of supplications at the holy land to warrant his success for re-election in both primary and secondary election ahead of 2019 general election.
"We the people of Dutsinma/Kurfi Constituency have nothing to do except to continue to shower more encomiums to Danlami Kurfi for to his unrelenting numerals packages he had been rendering to the people of the constituency."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that some top Nigerian politicians and governors visited President Muhammadu Buhari in his Daura hometown.
The politicians led by Governor Ibikunle Amosun were in Daura to celebrate the Eid-El-Kabir with the president.
Others who visited include Plateau governor, Simon Lalong, a former governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor-Kalu, minister of water resources, Suleiman Adamu Kazaure, and Senator Uche Ekwunife.
