- City want Real Madrid keeper Keylor Navas as a replacement for injured Claudio Bravo
- The Chilean goalkeeper has been ruled out of the season after suffering Achilles injury
- Navas has two more years on his current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu
Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly planning to make a move for Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
The Citizens have shortage of personnel in the goalkeeping department after learning of Claudio Bravo's terrible injury that will rule him out for the rest of the 2018-19 season.
City boss will be hoping to make the 31-year-old Costa Rican a back-up to Ederson Moraes after Bravo's Achilles injury.
Navas was part of the Real team that won the Champions League title three consecutive times - but his days seem numbered at the club with the arrival of Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
The former Levante shot stopper has made 144 appearances for Los Blancos during his four year reign at the club, but has insisted on fighting for his place alongside Courtois.
Navas' current contract with the Galacticos expires in the summer of 2020 and might not get a contract extension at the Spanish League side.
The Sun quoting AS, Pep Guardiola is planning a loan move for the keeper as back-up, with Englishman Daniel Grimshaw their only other option.
Meanwhile, the Spanish tactician is also weighing an option for Barcelona back-up Jasper Cillessen, according to Spanish paper Sport.
City have already swooped for young Irish keeper Gavin Bazunu, but the 16-year-old cannot join until next season with the transfer window closed. The club signed Ederson from Benfica last season for £34.9 million.
Legit.ng previously reported that Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has insisted he will see out his contract with Los Blancos before considering a move away from the club.
The 31-year-old is one of the players that might be offloaded by Los Blancos this summer to give room for new and younger players next term.
Meanwhile, the Costa Rica goaltender is hoping to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu and fight for his place at the club regardless of the quality of goalkeeper that might be signed at the end of the season.
