Manchester City and Chelsea target Miralem Pjanic has signed a new long term contract with Italian League champions Juventus this summer.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international signed a five year deal that will see him represent the Turin based club until the summer of 2023.

This new deal ends all speculations linking the 28-year-old with a move away from the Allianz Stadium before this summer's transfer deadline day.

Pjanic joined Juve from AS Roma in 2016 in a €32 million deal and has already scored 10 goals in 62 appearances for the Old Lady.

During his five year reign at Roma, he scored 27 goals in 159 matches but failed to win siverware at his former club.

However, his move to Juventus has won him two Serie A titles as well as two Coppa Italia trophies.

He was impressive for his club all through last season scoring seven goals in all competitions as they were unable to go beyond the quarterfinal stage of the Champions League.

Pjanic got his senior career started at French League side, Metz - where he spent just one season with four goals from 32 matches.

The 28-year-old joined Lyon in 2008, spent three seasons and scored 10 goals in 90 appearances before joining Roma in 2011.

Legit.ng previously reported that Juventus have offered Miralem Pjanic and cash for Paul Pogba in a move to resign the France international this summer.

Mirror citing Tuttosport revealed that the Old Lady were hoping they can convince Manchester United to let go of the Frenchman by including include a player in the cash deal.
