An accident involving a BRT bus and a commercial bus along the TBS in Lagos state early on Monday morning, August 20, has left two passengers injured.
The police Rapid Respond Squad (RRS) in a tweet said its officers had rushed the injured passengers to the general hospital, Marina.
As at the time of publishing this report, the police said efforts were being made to get the vehicle off the road for free vehicular movement.
Meanwhile, in another report, the Joint Task Force (JTF) battling criminal activities in Akwa Ibom state has rescued a staff of the INEC and seven other women who were being kept in kidnappers' den in Etim Ekpo and Ukanafun local government areas of Akwa Ibom state by suspected militants.
The commissioner of police (CP) the state, Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, who made the disclosure at the weekend, said one police sergeant had been killed in the ongoing offensive against militants in Etim Ekpo and Ukanafun local government areas, Leadership reports.
“We lost one Sergeant in the operation and recovered some riffles including police and military uniforms, charms and other materials”, he said and urged the people to assist the Police with information to dislodge the criminals,” Ogunjemilusi said.

The INEC staff, who was reportedly kidnapped on June 5, said he was blindfolded and taken by two gunmen on motorbikes and taken into a bush in Ikot Akpan Ayara in Ukanafun local government area where he and others were fed only once a day with garri and soup, beans and rice.
