Art is indeed the heartbeat of Africa. It is one of those rare things that unite us both as Nigerians and as Africans. Painting in particular has the eyes of many Africans gaping because who would see a beautifully drawn portrait and look away?

It is with the uniting force of the arts that many young talented artists especially painters have been spurred to make great artistic pieces. While they aim at making ends meet with their creative inventions, they particularly hope to promote their works as a reflection of reality.

One such artist with a knack for portraying reality is Clark Amissah, a graduate of the Tema Methodist Day Senior High School in Ghana. This young talent paints near hyper realistic images of real people.

He especially favours the class of well known people in the society who receive a realistic double on his white canvas.

In one of his recent exhibits, Amissah drew a host of Ghanaian musicians with an impressive preciseness. The paintings were colourful and they depicted the characters represented.

Some of the musicians painted by the young boy are Sarkodie, Shatta wale and Stonebwoy. Looking at pictures of some of his works, there is no doubt that Amissah is a very talented chap.

What's more, the young artist is only 18 years old as at now. What this implies is that he is bound to get better with time. So he will offer better artistry and representations with time.

In a correspondence, Legit.ng gathered that Amissah has high hopes to continue his education, preferably at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana. His choice to further advance himself intellectually will do a lot of good to his artistic career.

Apart from painting portraits, Amissah also engages in general house painting and interior designing.

Going through the paintings of Amissah, it was realised that one of his best works was that of Dancehall stalwart, Shatta Wale. Interestingly, Amissah stays at Ashaiman, the stronghold of Shatta Wale's bitterest rival, Stonebwoy.

It is rather curious that an Ashaiman boy will do such a good work for Shatta Wale rather than Stonebwoy. Amissah also has a portrait of the Bhim Nation boss that serves well to express his love for the Ghanaian musician.
