Super Eagles star Ahmed Musa inspired Al Nassr to a slim victory over Alwashm FC in a friendly encounter over the weekend.

The 25-year-old joined the Saudi Arabia topflight side from Leicester City after spending just two years at the King Power Stadium.

He announced his arrival at the club with a fantastic goal to help his side beat Al Jazira 2-1 in their Arab club championship first leg encounter.

Continuing from where he stopped last week, Nigeria international made a fine run into the oppoenent's danger zone and dribbled two defenders before finding Nordin Amrabat, who buried the ball into the back of the net in the game.

Musa was superb for the national team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia - scoring two superb goals against Iceland in their second Group D encounter.

He became the third highest goal scorer at the World Cup with four goals behind Asamoah Gyan (6 goals) and Roger Miller (5 goals).

The former Kano Pillars spent just two seasons at Leicester after joining the Foxes in the then club's record deal in 2016.

The 25-year-old scored twice in 21 appearances for the King Power outfit during his two year reign at the club.

Legit.ng previously reported that Nigeria international Ahmed Musa opened his goal account for Al Nassr in their 2-1 win over Al Jazira on his debut game.

The encounter between these two clubs was an Arab Champions League round of 32 tie in Abu Dhabi in which Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa scored the winning goal for his club.

Al Nassr went ahead through Yahia Alshehri in the 15th minute of the encounter, but the hosts equalized 15 minutes later through Mohamed Jamal.

Musa who started training with his new club last week Friday scored the winning goal for Al Nassr in the 75th minute of the game.
