Following the demolition of Yinka Ayefele's Fresh FM, a retired judge in Osun state, Olamide Oloyede, has begun the mobilisation of funds to rebuild the radio station that was demolished by the Oyo state government on Sunday, August 20.
Premium Times reports that the retired judge, now a governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), called on Nigerians to assist Ayefele to build a better structure than the demolished one.
Legit.ng notes that Oloyede said: “Gentlemen and ladies, it has come to my attention that the building housing Fresh FM, the business of our music maestro, Yinka Ayefele, has just been demolished.
“May I respectfully request that we all come to his aide by providing the wherewithal to put up a new structure of his desire as a legacy to Nigerians’ right to freedom of expression?
“Nothing is too little, let’s jointly ensure that the glory of the latter house is greater than that which was demolished."
Recall that the Oyo state commissioner for information, Toye Arulogun, denied allegation that he was responsible for the building.
According to Arulogun, the action was taken by the state government and town planning authorities in the state.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that tears flowed freely on the cheeks of residents of Challenge in Ibadan as Oyo state government in the early hours of Sunday, August 19, carried out its threat to demolish the Music House belonging to the music maestro, Yinka Ayefele.
The demolished house also provide accommodation for Fresh FM located at Lagos-Ibadan bypass in Challenge area of Ibadan.
