Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray are set to table a bid for out-of-favour Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck.

According to a UK Sun reports citing sources in Turkish outlet AMK claim Arsenal are ‘prepared’ to offload the 27-year-old who is fighting to hold down a spot in the Gunners squad.

The Turkish giants have extra funds to bank on after reaching the group stage of this season’s Champions League.

And Galatasaray are reportedly interested in sealing a switch for former Manchester United ace, Welbeck, who was previously linked with Everton and Southampton during the summer.

The England international made just 45 Premier League starts in his four years stay at Arsenal after suffering various degree of injury spells.

Welbeck, part of Gareth Southgate’s Three Lion’s England squad at this summer’s World Cup, has been at Arsenal since 2014.

Interestingly, despite the appeal of a fresh start, Champions League football and regular football, Welbeck is keen on staying at Arsenal and has no ambition of playing in Turkey.

Gunners’ new boss Unai Emery has also decreased speculations that Welbeck will be quitting the Premier League side having been impressed with his versatility when he first joined over the summer.

Reacting after their first days together, the Spaniard said: “I said to Danny when he arrived with us after the holidays, I want the best performance of his career and he should work for that.”

At the end of the English transfer window, Emery also revealed that only three players, Carl Jenkinson, David Ospina and Joel Campbell would be permitted to leave the Emirates.

Meanwhile, previously had reported that Super Eagles Alex Iwobi agrees that Arsenal were a bit shaky and clueless at the early stage of their 3-2 defeat to Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge.

The 22-year-old scored a supeb goal that leveled up for the Gunners in the first half but a Marcos Alonso's stunner in the 81st minute ensured they suffered their second straight defeat in the 2018-19 campaign.

Unai Emery's men got their season started with a 2-0 home defeat to champions Manchester City on match day one.
