Arsenal youngster Mavididi joins Juventus in a €2m deal

- Juve are planning to sign Arsenal youngster Mavididi as Italian transfer window deadline looms

Arsenal youngster Stephy Mavididi has joined Italian League giants Juventus in a deal worth €2 million this summer.

The 20-year-old joined the Serie A giants just 24 hours before the Italian transfer window closes after passing medical at the club.

He has represented England at the U17, 18 and 20 levels - scoring four goals in 18 appearances.

He has spent the last two seasons on loan at Charlton Athletic and Preston North End - scoring two goals in 27 appearances for the clubs.

Mavididi wasn't part of the Gunners squad for the preseason tour and the Italian League champions are said to be planning a shocking summer move for the forward.

Allegri will not automaticllay integrate the striker into his immediate team that has Cristiano Ronaldo and Dybala.

They want to sign him for their youth team as he continues to gain experience that will prepare him for first team football.

"Stephy Mavididi has signed for Juventus on a permanent transfer. The 20-year-old forward will initially join the Italian side's 'B' team.

"Stephy has previously spent time on loan at Preston North End, and also had two spells at Charlton Athletic, where he spent the second half of last season.

"He is an England youth international having played up to under-20 level. We would like to thank Stephy for his contribution to the club and wish him well for the future.

"The transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes." Arsenal posted on their official website. previously reported that Cristiano Ronaldo netted another Juventus goal in an 8-0 destruction of the club's Under-23 team.

The former Los Blancos ace who moved to Juve in a £99m deal continued his form in the behind-closed-doors friendly.

The 33-year-old Portugal ace enjoyed a limited pre-season regime after being handed an extended holiday following his World Cup exploits.
