As her daughter becomes a major in the US Army, Nigerian mom recounts how she once went to her school to beat her for being disrespectful

Most African mothers are known not to over pamper their children as they often maintain a level of discipline while raising them. This has led to many proud moments in some families.

A Nigerian mother identified as Agatha Benson took to social media to recount the story of how she once disciplined her daughter in the presence of her principal, her teachers and her friends after being disrespectful to one of the teachers.

Agatha recounted the occurrence on her Facebook page. She explained that her daughter and her classmates had disrespected a teacher while they were in elementary school.

Parents had been summoned and she made sure to discipline her daughter in the presence of her peers. Agatha had requested for a paddle from the school principal, and she whacked her daughter with it.

She went further to say that her daughter, who is now a Major in the US Army is now responsible for commanding other soldiers. Agatha also explained that her daughters whom she is responsible for training are now more disciplined than she is. Her daughter has obviously made her proud.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng shared the story of a corps member who showed off her mother who sold fish to sponsor her education, as she promises to give her a better life soon.

Favour Oshevire on Wednesday, August 15, took to her Facebook profile to share a picture she took with her mum rocking her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) uniform. Oshevire did not post the pictures for fun but to appreciate her beautiful and hardworking mother, who toiled by selling smoked fish to give her a sound education.
