Italian topflight campaigners Udinese have sealed a deal with Turkish side Bursaspor to sign Super Eagles defence ace William Troost-Ekong.
According to reports coming out of the Italy suggest Udinese reportedly offered €3.3m for Nigeria international who celebrates his 25th birthday anniversary next month.
Interestingly, Troost-Ekong who has three goals from 33 appearances for Bursaspor was severally linked with a switch to French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais before moving to Turkey from Gent in 2017.
The Super Lig campaigners have already penned a farewell message to the Eagles star via their official Twitter handle.
“Thank you @WTroostEkong,” a tweet in Bursaspor’s official Twitter handle read in part.
The Nigeria international moved to Bursaspor 12 months ago for €1m after plying his trade for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Groningen, Dordrecht, KAA Gent and Haugesund.
Troost-Ekong previously represented Holland at Under-19 and Under-21 levels but opting to fly Nigeria’s colours at the senior level.
At the last count Troost-Ekong with one goal so far has earned 24 caps for Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that Super Eagles and Chelsea defender Ola Aina has penned a new contract at the Premier League club until 2021.
According to reports coming out of the West London outfit the Nigeria international will spend the 2018/19 campaign on loan with Italian topflight side Torino.
The 21-year-old Aina, a versatile defender, made his first-team debut for Chelsea in a League Cup win over Bristol Rovers in 2016 after progressing through the club’s Academy.
