German club rejects Pogba's brother for being too heavy

- Mathias Pogba has been rejected by Uerdingen for weighing too heavy

- Mathias was hoping to sign for the third-tier German club this summer

- The 27-year old has previously featured for top European clubs

The football career of Mathia Pogba, elder brother to Manchester United star Paul, has taken a disappointing turn after being rejected by German third-tier club, Uerdingen, for being too heavy.

Mathias was hoping to seal a move to the German side where he has been undergoing trials.

According to Uerdingen coach Stefan Kraemer, Mathias can be a perfect no.9 owing to his height, but lacks physical fitness required in the game.

"He's been and gone. Mathias couldn't help the team, he is currently not in good physical shape," Kraemer spoke exclusively to the media.

"Mathias has a good build for a 'Nine' (attacking midfielder) and is tall, but he is carrying too many kilos," he added.

Uerdingen were recently promoted to the German third-tier and have since won three games in four matches already this season.

The 27-year-old has in the past played in the English leagues having featured for Wrexham, Crewe Alexandra and Crawley Town.

His most recent assignment was with Dutch side, Sparta Rotterdam, who he signed a one-year contract with in 2016 and according to WhoScored, managed four goals in 14 appearances.

Mathias, alongside his twin brother, Florentin, gained world fame during the 2018 World Cup in Russia after their hilarious reaction to Paul’s free-kick for France against Argentina in the round of 16.

Florentin is also a professional footballer and at one time played in the Turkish Super Lig.

Meanwhile, had earlier reported that Manchester United pair Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba’s relationship have hit a new low after an extraordinary bust-up, The Sun exclusively reports.

The Portuguese manager warned the Frenchman not to talk about his grievances through the media and said if he wants to quit the club “again” he should ask for a transfer.
