Inter Milan’s chase of Real Madrid’s star Luka Modric has reportedly suffered hiccups after Tottenham’s massive evaluation of Christian Eriksen

According to UK Sun report citing sources at Gianluca Di Marzio the Premier League club are demanding a stunning £178million from the Los Blancos who see the Danish playmaker as a potential replacement want away Modric.

The 32-year-old finalist at the summer World Cup in Russia is eager to seal a move to Serie A but was in action for the Galaticos in the UEFA Super Cup defeat on Wednesday night.

The report further suggests that Real Madrid are not eager to approve Modric’s exit without signing another midfield general.

And after his exceptional display for Croatia’s Blazers in Russia, the Los Blancos have every reason to keep the midfield maestro, in their ranks for the new campaign.

On the other hand, the 26-year-old Eriksen, is an important member of Mauricio Pochettino's squad and club’s chairman Daniel Levy, will not let the midfielder star leave without a massive sum of money exchanging hands.

In addition, Tottenham will be unable to sign new players so it would a tough task to convince the club’s chiefs, to part with a key player.

The former Ajax ace Eriksen netted 14 goals along with 10 assists last season and had a decent performance in the 2-1 win at Newcastle on Saturday.

Currently, Eriksen has 24 months left on his contract and Tottenham are keen to convince him to pen a new deal, with Paris Saint-Germain also eyeing a deal for the midfielder.

Meanwhile, previously had reported that Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has blasted former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo following the Portuguese's comments after his switch from the Los Blancos to Serie A champions Juventus.

According to a UK Mirror report, Ronaldo recently claimed that Juventus was more of a 'family' than he had in the Spanish capital, following his £100m switch from the Spanish topflight where he established himself as one of the best player in Galaticos record books.

At the last count the Portuguese claimed four Champions League titles as well as Real's all-time top goal scorer.
