- Cabals are running President Buhari's administration according to Governor Tambuwal of Sokoto state
- The Sokoto state governor also agreed that President Buhari is a man of integrity
- Tambuwal, however, claimed integrity alone is not the only tool of leadership
Sokoto state Governor Aminu Tambuwal has alleged that some cabals are running president Muhammadu Buhari's government.
The Sokoto state governor who had recently defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said this while addressing thousands of youths and students who stormed the governor’s office in appreciation of his involving the youths in his administration, Punch reports.
“We supported Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 to become President unconditionally and we admit that Buhari has integrity but that’s not the only requirement for leadership.
“We are aware that the President is affected by serious challenges of health and is being held captive by a cabal that runs Nigeria for their personal interests,” he said.
Legit.ng had earlier reported that Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state on Wednesday, August 15, said that he is under pressure to run for president in 2019.
Legit.ng gathered that he said has been receiving advice and encouragement from his leaders, peoples across the country as well as people from abroad to contest for presidency.
He said: "I have been receiving advice and encouragement from our leaders, peoples across the country and even from abroad to contest for presidency and this pressure is being mounting."
Tambuwal further explained that: "It Is not my making but the quantum of pressure from every where because of leadership gap in the country." He said he would make his position public on the matter "in days to come."
