German League outfit Schalke 04 are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer.

The 22-year-old was part of the Chelsea team that spanked Huddersfield Town in their Premier League opener on Saturday.

The Mirror reported that the former England U21 star is also being linked with a number of top European clubs.

Loftus Cheek spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Crystal Palace, but the Blues might be reluctant to let their player leave anytime soon.

The midfielder still has Ross Barkley to contend with for starting shirt in Maurizio Sarri's squad as he started from the beench Huddersfield.

He has insisted on staying at the Stamford Bridge to fight for his place at the club as he has three years left on his current deal.

England boss Gareth Southgate will be keen for Loftus-Cheek to carry on playing regularly and if he does not feel he will get games then moving on loan could still be a possibility.

Chelsea have done loans for Bakayoko to AC Milan, Michy Batshuayi to Valencia and Kurt Zouma to Everton. earlier reported that Torino have shown interest in signing Super Eagles and Chelsea star Ola Aina this summer.

The 21-year-old is purely not in Maurizio Sarri's plan as he has been tipped to leave the Stamford Bridge on loan before the end of the summer transfer window.

Aina, who missed out of participating in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia spent last season on loan at championship side Hull City.
