10 reportedly killed as bombers strike in Adamawa

Ten people were reportedly killed on Saturday, August 11, in a twin bomb attack on a crowded place at Madagali local government area of Adamawa state.

Daily Trust reports that two women detonated explosive devices at the entrance of the town from the direction of Gwoza.

The news outlet reports that a resident, Aura Garga, said the bombers struck around 12 pm on Saturday, killing themselves and ten others.

He said many people who sustained various degrees of injuries were evacuated for medical attention.

It was, however, reported that military authorities at the 28 Task Force Battalion in Mubi could not be reached for comment.

Legit.ng had also reported that three people were reportedly been killed while many other injured during a clash between herdsmen and cattle dealers in Adamawa.

The incident occurred at Ngurore International Cattle Market on Wednesday, August 8. A source who witnessed the clash, Mohammed Bala said the cause was unknown. He however claimed he saw three people dead before fleeing for his life.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had also reported that a report from a United Kingdom-based organisation has indicted some governors and the opposition party in Nigeria over fueling the crisis between herdsmen and farmers across Nigeria.
