Super Eagles superstar William Troost-Ekong has dedicated his first goal 2018-19 Turkish League season to his son, Oscar.
The 24-year-old scored Bursaspor's only goal in their 2-1 defeat to Fenerbache on Saturday, August 11 in the 16th minute through a powerful header.
But a goal each from Giuliano and Souza in the 22nd and 30th minutes of the encounter ensured the Green Crocodiles suffered their first defeat of the new season.
He said it was an exciting feeling to open the season with a goal but insisted that they deserved at least a point from the game.
The former Gent defender said they will bounce back in their next game as they will keep fighting until the end of the season.
"Happy to score my first goal of the season tonight against Fenerbahce," Troost-Ekong said on social media
"Thought we deserved more but we will keep fighting. This one is for you my boy ❤️ #Bursaspor #TexasliEkong."
Troost-Ekong joined the Turkish side in 2017 and has scored twice in 31 appearances for the club.
He was also part of the Nigeria squad that got crashed out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia after losing two out of their three Group D encounters in June.
