- Ronaldo reveals his decision to join Juventus was not given a second thought
- The Portugal captain said he has always admired the club since he was a child
- The former Real Madrid striker spent nine seasons in Spain before going to Italy
Newly signed Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that dumping Real Madrid for the Serie A club this summer was an absolute no-brainer.
The 33-year-old revealed he did not need to think twice when "one of the best clubs in the world" came knocking for him with a £99million deal.
Despite playing for Los Blancos for nine seasons and winning four Champions League crowns and two La Liga titles, the Portuguese ace could not wait to start his new life in Italy.
CR7 added he has admired the Turin giants since he was a kid and always dreamed of lining up in the black and white.
The former Manchester United forward told JuventusTV: “Great club, first of all it is a great club.
"Since I was a kid, I looked at this team and said I hope to play there one day.
"Now I will play for a fantastic club, one of the biggest clubs in the world. I’m happy.
“I don’t have a precise moment when I decided.
"During the years, we played a few times against Juve and I had a special feeling that the Italian supporters like Cristiano.
“It’s the biggest club in Italy, one of the best in the world, so it was an easy decision, as Juve are an unbelievable club.”
