- Ciara takes to Twitter to acknowledge Tiwa for the sampling

Nigerian music is gradually taking over the world. With every world class artist trying to jump on a beat from here or feature a Nigerian on their song. In 2016, Drake featured Wizkid in three of his songs on his album One Dance.

Earlier in August, the news of American pop singer Ciara featuring Nigerian singer Tekno on her latest song Freak Me came into town. And on Thursday, August 9, the song dropped.

Freak Me is Ciara’s first attempt at Afrobeat music. While her fans across the world are appreciating the song, some Nigerians were quick to notice that Ciara sampled with Nigerian pop singer Tiwa Savage’s song Before Nko from the R.E.D album. A heavy lifting of the song was noticed and it was rumoured that it got the Mavin records star singer angry.

In a swift reaction to the lifting, Ciara tweeted on Friday, August 10, thanking Tiwa on the inspiration and the sample used in Freak Me.

However, TripleMG music star Tekno is yet to react to the sampling. Rather he shared a video of Ciara dancing to his part in Freak Me.

Meanwhile, reported earlier that Tiwa Savage's estranged husband Teebillz took on an internet troll who said their son Jamil will end up in the club carrying casket. The troll had earlier called the little boy a small yahoo boy.
