Ex-president, Olusegun Obasanjo, has accused the federal government of failing to proffer a solution to the continues herdsmen rampage in parts of the country.
The Tribune reports that the former president made the accusation when speaking at the 17th annual distinguished guest lecture of at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
He said herdsmen attacks in parts of the country were one of the socio-economic issues in the country that the federal government was handling with levity and discriminating political undertone.
He said: “Ethics and morals are an integral part of creating this social fabric so the nation can persist over time. Where mutual benefits and security is lacking, what you have is an unethical society and unethical nation and that does not augur well for development.”
The former president described the DSS invasion of the National Assembly as an indication of how low politics and democracy in Nigeria had fallen.
He said the anti-corruption war have been badly compromised since the present administration came to power.

Meanwhile, in another report, a former chieftain of the APC, Comrade Timi Frank has faulted insinuation that the sacked director general of the Department of State Security (DSS) Lawal Daura, was indirectly working for the Senate President Bukola Saraki.
Frank has asked the public to dismiss what he described as “misinformation and a cheap blackmail,” suggesting Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has close ties with sacked Directorate of State Security (DSS) boss, Mr Lawal Daura.
He however, called on Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to investigate the circumstances that led to the invasion of the DSS by masked DSS operatives.
