Osinbajo, Masari, Ganduje, storm Daura for APC candidate Ahmed Kaita (photos)

Ahead of the Kastina north senatorial by-election holding on Saturday, August 11, people turned out en-masse in Daura, President Buhari’s hometown, for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Ahmed Babba Kaita.

Legit.ng gathered that the acting president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was there along with the governor of Katsina state, Aminu Masari and his counterpart from Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje, for the APC grand finale rally for the party’s Katsina north’s senatorial candidate, Ahmed Babba Kaita.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday, August 9, met the emir of Daura, His Royal Highness Farouk Umar Farouk, at his palace in Katsina state.

Laolu Akande, media aide to the acting president who disclosed this on Twitter said Osinbajo went to the state to support APC's candidate in the forthcoming senatorial election.

However, during the visit, Osinbajo said “the purpose of the APC and President Buhari is to uphold the common man. He added that the federal government is doing more with 60% with less earnings than previous administrations."

In his remarks to the acting president "the emir said the people of Daura are 100% behind the president, the acting president and his actions."

He also commended the acting president for being a very loyal and effective deputy to president Buhari who hails from Daura.
