PSG eye £112m offer for Rakitic to help Barcelona fund Pogba deal

- PSG line up £112.5m move for Ivan Rakitic after missing out on N'Golo Kante

- The French champions are hoping to aid Barcelona bid for French World Cup star Paul Pogba

- Manchester United are unlikely to allow Pogba leave this summer

French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are lining up a stunning £112m offer for Ivan Rakitic, reports say.

According to UK Sun report citing in sources at Mundo Deportivo, the deal will help Barcelona to raise enough cash to make one final attempt, to seal a switch for Manchester United's Paul Pogba.

The report further noted that the French champions are set to activate the Croatian's release clause in his contract.

The Croatian was among the most used player in the Barcelona squad last term and was instrumental in his country's run at the summer World Cup in Russia.

PSG switched their searchlight to Rakitic after they failed to sign Chelsea's N'Golo Kante.

On the other hand, Barcelona are worried over PSG's firepower after Brazilian star Neymar moved to Paris in a massive £198million deal a year ago.

The Spanish champions don't want to cash in but may have no choice with the clause in his contract.

If the deal sees the light of the day, it could force them to make another stunning offer to Manchester United for the Frenchman, Pogba.

His agent Mino Raiola has reportedly been exploiting ways to take him to the Nou Camp following the absence of good working relationship with United boss Jose Mourinho.

The Old Trafford dwellers are unlikely to allow Pogba leave this summer as they have no time to land a replacement as the window closes today.

Meanwhile, previously had reported that West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona pair of Andre Gomes and Marlon Santos this summer.

The duo are not guaranteed regular playing time this season as the Catalan club have earlier this week included the Portuguese midfielder in a bid to lure Paul Pogba to the Camp Nou.

Gomes joined the Spanish League champions in 2016 from Valencia but has been unable to secure first team action with the club.
