Championship side Aston Villa are close to sealing a loan deal for Super Eagles and Watford forward Isaac Success.

According to Bleacher Report, the 22-year-old Success is expected to leave Vicarage Road, to join the claret and blues before today’s summer transfer window deadline.

The one-capped Nigeria international, was loaned to Spanish side Malaga in the second half of last campaign but could not save the side from finishing at the last spot of Spain's topflight, with 20 points from 38 games.

Interestingly, the former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles forward only tasted action nine times during his loan spell with Malaga, failing to net once and is now deemed surplus to requirements at Watford.

Success moved to Vicarage Road in the summer of 2016 from Spanish side Granada for around £12.5million and opted for Hornets' No.10 shirt last season.

However, Success made just 20 appearances for Watford since.

At the moment, Villa boss Steve Bruce is reportedly keen to seal a loan deal for Success, as the forward is eager to get his career back on track after a difficult loan move to Malaga last season.

The report further noted that deal will be a loan-to-buy option, with Watford keen to cash on Success but Villa are not ready for a permanent offer for the Nigerian.

Success current contract at Vicarage Road runs out in the summer of 2021.

Meanwhile, previously had reported that Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven are in pole position to land Super Eagles defender Ola Aina on loan this summer.

According to The Mirror, despite interest from West Bromwich Albion, the Chelsea star is set to move elsewhere.

Albion's manager Darren Moore is desperate for a wing back, after missing out on Yeovil's Tom James already.
