Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has reportedly told the club to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

The 25-year-old has been recently linked with a move to the Camp Nou after helping France win their second ever World Cup title in Russia in July.

However, the Red Devils were said to have rejected the initial €50 million cash plus Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes offer for the French star earlier this week.

According to Tribal Football, Pogba's agent Mino Raiola is currently in Manchester in a bid to get his client a deal that will have him released by the Old Trafford outfit this summer.

The same publication revealed that United are aopen to selling their World Cup winning midfielder but want outright cash of about €110m for the midfielder.

Spanish League champions are said to have gotten the approval of Messi as they continue to negotiate with the Premier League side in a bid to sign the former Juve star this month.

United have signed goalkeeper Lee Grant from Stoke City, Diogo Dalot from FC Porto and Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk.

While Barca on the other hand have made a few quality signings during this summer transfer window.

They recently concluded the signing of Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich in a £16.20m, Clément Lenglet from Sevilla (£32.31m), Arthur Melo from Gremio (£27.90m) and Malcom in a deal around £36.90m. previously reported that Manchester United had concluded plans to offload their star midfielder Paul Pogba this summer with Barcelona interested in signing the French star.

Barcelona were interested along with Real Madrid in signing the former Juventus star before he returned to Old Trafford in 2016.

According to Don Balon, Mourinho would now give the green light to a departure at the end of the season.
