A new generation bank around Allen Avenue area of Lagos state, Stanbic IBTC, has gone up in flames on Tuesday, August 7.
Legit.ng gathers the bank was engulfed in fire as a result of a vehicle that had earlier gone up in flames.
The Lagos State Fire Service is at the scene of the incident to put out the fire, while security operatives are also on ground to maintain law and order.
Recall that fire incidents have been a reoccurrence in the news in the past few months, with properties worth millions of naira destroyed.
On Tuesday, March 6, hundreds of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) were rendered homeless as the Ajiri camp in Mafa local government area of Borno state went up in flames.
Children were said to have been rescued alive from the strange fire even as the IDPs were said to have lost everything including food and clothes in the raging inferno.

In a similar incident, some residents of Gowon Estate, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Egbeda area of Lagos, lost valuables as a midnight fire engulfed three duplexes on 34 Road, B Close on Friday, January 19.
There was no casualty recorded in the incident, but witnesses explained that the fire was first noticed at about 7.15 pm in one of the duplexes before spreading to others.
Also, a raging inferno on the night of Thursday, February 1, razed over 600 shops at the old market in Bida, headquarters of Bida local government area of Niger state.
The fire, which started at about 8.30pm, was said to have destroyed goods and other properties in the old market.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that no fewer than nine persons were burnt beyond recognition with 54 vehicles torched in a fuel tanker explosion at Otedola Bridge, near the old toll gate, Alausa, Lagos.
The spokesman, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Kehinde Adebayo, confirmed the incident, stressing that four persons sustained various degrees of injury.
