He landed Chile striker Alexis Sanchez in January and made him the club's highest paid player but the former Barcelona and Arsenal star has not been able to prove himself.

Mourinho was also responsible for the return of Paul Pogba in the club's record fee but has gone back and forth with the player in the last one season.
