Manchester City youngster Claudio Gomes became the first player with the shortest debut in football.
The 18-year-old defensive midfielder lasted just one second in the Citizen's 2-0 victory over Chelsea in Sunday's Community Shield encounter at the Wembley Stadium.
He was introduced in the 95th minute as a replacement for England international John Stones and just moments after coming on, the referee sounded the final whistle.
Gomes, who joined the Citizens from Paris Saint Germain this summer was sighted receiving extensive instructions from his manager before making his way into the pitch.
The midfielder was signed a five year deal with the current Premier League champions as a free agent.
He joined PSG from Évreux as a youngster in 2013 but had the opportunity of representing the Parisians team B once last term.
The 18-year-old has also featured for the French U16, 17 and 18 national teams repectively, but won his first title at the senior level with his side lifting the Community Shield.

The Argentine opened scoring for the Etihad Stadium side in the 13th minute and then sealed the victory for Pep Guardiola's side later in the game.
Leroy Sane failed also had a chance to increase his side's tally but failed to connect to Bernando Silva's goal as they claim the Shield with days to the kick off of the 2018-19 EPL season.
