Super Eagles legend Emmanuel Amuneke has been named new Tanzania coach after penning a 2-year deal on Monday, August 6.

According to the President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Wallace Karia on their official Twitter handle, that the Nigerian will be the coach of the national team of Tanzania, on a 2-year deal.

The former Flying Eagles coach will now lead the Taifa Stars quest in getting their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign back on track.

Interestingly, during the summer World Cup in Russia, Amuneke was a member of the FIFA Technical Study Group during the tournament.

"President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Wallace Karia announced coach Emmanuel Amunike from Nigeria to be the National National Team of Tanzania's National "National Stars" sponsored by the Serengeti beer for a 2-year contract," the above tweet from the Tanzania FA read in part.

The former Super Eagles and Barcelona forward also led Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets to World Cup glory in 2015 and has managed several clubs including Sudan's Al Khartoum, Saudi Arabia's Al-Hazm to mention but a few.
