Liverpool prepare £60m for Lyon's Nabil Fekir

- Ligue 1 side Lyon raise Nabil Fekir's asking price to £60 million for Liverpool

- The Reds are still in search for an attacking midfielder in the transfer window

- The 25-year-old was part of France squad that won the Russia 2018 World Cup

Nabil Fekir's move to Liverpool has been the longest rumour in this summer transfer window so far.

According to French media outlet L'Equipe, Lyon would still allow the World Cup winner to leave this summer if a suitable £60million comes in.

However, videos posted on Lyon's Twitter page on Monday, August 6 revealed the attacker looked happy to be back with the Ligue 1 side.

The 25-year-old returned to training for the first time after featuring in Les Bleus' 4-2 victory over Croatia in the World Cup final.

One of the clips shows the striker being hugged and shaking hands with fellow players in the dressing room.

The tweet is captioned: "Return of the captain, Nabil Fekir in the locker room! #Family" - which indicates that Lyon feel their man is set to stay.

Other videos show him going through light drills and training exercises to get the attacking midfielder back up to speed.

The France international had seemed destined to join Liverpool earlier this summer only for the Ligue 1 side to pull the plug at the very last moment.

While Liverpool have already been very active in the summer window, signing the likes of Alisson and Fabinho, the Reds are still in search for another midfielder.

Meanwhile, had earlier reported that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed concerns over his defensive options, with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez the only senior centre-backs currently fit and available.

The Reds are due to play Serie A side Torino in their final pre-season friendly on Tuesday, August 7, before facing West Ham at home in their first Premier League match on Sunday.
