Buhari receives Gambian president in Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, August 1, received the president of Gambia, Adama Barrow, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.

The Twitter handle of the federal government, @AsoRock, had disclosed that President Barrow flew into Abuja on the Nigerian presidential jet.

Legit.ng gathers that Barrow is expected to be the guest speaker at the 26th graduation ceremony of the National Defence College, Abuja.

During the meeting at Aso Rock, the Gambian president thanked Buhari for the role Nigeria played in helping his country return to the path of constitutional democracy.

Recall that Legit.ng previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, January 16, in Abuja, met behind closed doors with the visiting Gambian president, Adama Barrow, at the Presidential Villa, months after the removal of Yahya Jammeh from office.

Barrow, who was visiting Nigeria for the first time since his inauguration as Gambian president on January 19, 2017 arrived the Villa at about 11:50am.
