Premier League side Manchester United will allow French forward Anthony Martial leave Old Trafford this summer if they seal a deal for Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic to fill the void in the squad, according to a UK Sun report.

The Frenchman jetted back to Paris after leaving Jose Mourinho’s gang in the US to be beside his partner Melanie DA Cruz ahead of the delivery of their first child.

The 22-year-old Martial did not play any role for the Les Blues World Cup triumph after he was blackout from the national squad, no thanks to his limited appearances for the Red Devils last season, was granted permission to leave Old Trafford this summer.

However, additional report from UK Daily Mirror suggests that the club’s Portuguese boss will only agree a deal in the neighbourhood of £70m to leave the Premier League club and must have signed Croatian star Perisic as his replacement.

The Red Devils are ready to only allow unhappy Martial, reportedly wanted by the duo of Chelsea and Tottenham, to leave on their terms and would prefer the ex-Monaco ace leave the English topflight, with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich keeping vigil on the forward.

On the other hand, Martial will prefer a summer move to Ligue 1 champions PSG as his desire to seeks a move away from Old Trafford reaches feverish period.

However, with the transfer deadline in the English Premier League closing on August 9, Manchester United are eager to find a quality addition to replace him.

Already, Croatia’s 29-year-old winger Perisic heads the list of potential additions.

The Portuguese attempted bringing Perisic to the English topflight last summer but the £40m purported deal never saw the light of the day.

Interestingly, after reaching the final of the global football fiesta with Croatia’s Blazers in Russia his value has risen to about £70m.

On the other hand, Martial left Manchester United's pre-season tour after informing boss Mourinho he was heading to Paris to witness the birth of his child.

The Frenchman revealed the new-born’s arrival on Instagram with the boy's feet image alongside the caption: "Thank you Lord for giving me a second beautiful child in good health."

His partner French reality TV star Da Cruz added on social media: "Hello World. I'm Swan Anthony Martial. Thank you God. God bless you my son."

The France international already has a two-year-old daughter named Peyton from his previous union with ex-wife Samantha Jacquelinet.

However, the latest arrival is the first child between Martial and his partner after walking away from his wife for Da Cruz in 2016.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly planning to offload Anthony Martial this summer.

The French star walked out of the Red Devils' preseason camp to be with his pregnant spouse Melanie Da Cruz, who is due for delivery soon.

And the gesture got the Portuguese tactician angry as it was not clear if the 22-year-old got the blessings of his manager to leave the camp.
