This is time to vote out APC - Former Bauchi governor

- Isa Yuguda has called on Bauchi people to vote out the APC

- The former governor claimed the party had inflicted pain on the people

- He said his own achievements as governor were still visible

Mallam Isa Yuguda who is the immediate past governor of Bauchi state has called on the people to vote out the All progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The Sun reports that Yuguda gave this call shortly after being handed the flag of the Green Party of Nigeria (GPN) as its candidate in the August 11 Bauchi South senatorial district bye-election.

The former governor said voting out the APC in the state would put an end to the suffering they were facing. He claimed the people had suffered a lot under the APC administration.

He promised to give the people quality representation if elected into the upper chamber during the bye election. He insisted that his legacies as a former governor were visible for the people to see.

The former governor urged the people in the district to vote for the GPN.

Meanwhile, over 20 politicians are in line to replace the All Progressives Congress (APC) senator, late Ali Wakili, who died a few months ago.

Daily Trust reports that moves to replace Senator Wakili begun following the provisions of the Electoral Act that the vacant seat should be replaced within 90 days.

It was gathered that more than 20 people from different party divides are being suggested as likely contenders for the Bauchi South senatorial seat. Although the APC tops the list of possible contenders, sources said over six politicians have indicated their interest to run for the position.

Meanwhile, Safiya Iliyasu, had even before Wakili's death declared his ambition to contend with the late senator in 2019.
