- FIFA select 11 managers for the award of the best coach in 2018

The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) have released nominees for the 2018 men's best coach.

The world football governing body shortlisted 11 coaches that made their mark with their teams from 3, July, 2017 to 15, July, 2018.

The respective coaches selected, competed in various tournament including the just concluded World Cup.

The managers includes; Massimiliano Allegri (Juventus), Stanislav Cherchesov (Russia), Zlatko Dalic (Croatia), Didier Deschamps (France), Pep Guardiola (Manchester United), Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool), Roberto Martinez (Belgium), Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid), Gareth Southgate (England), Ernesto Valverde (Barcelona), and Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid).

The French duo of Deschamps and Zidane are highly favoured to emerge winner of the award as both have won laudable trophies in this period.

Deschamps led Les Bleus to their second World Cup title at the just concluded edition held in Russia.

On the other hand, Zidane won his third successive Champions League trophy with Real Madrid after defeating Liverpool by 3-1 in the finals played in Kiev.

Manchester City's Guardiola, who won the Premier League title with 100 points could also stand a chance in the award.

Also in the running is Barcelona's Valverde, who clinched Barca's La Liga's ninth title in 14 years and the Copa del Rey.

Anfield boss Klopp drew the attention of football loving followers' with Liverpool's impressive run in the Premier League and Champions League.

Europa League winning coach Simeone is also a contender following his side's success in the secondary continental tournament in Europe.

England's Southgate, Croatia's Dalic, Belgium's Martinez and Russia's Cherchesov will also be vying for honours after their teams made mark at football's biggest showpiece respectively.
