Barcelona increase offer for Chelsea midfielder Willian to £55m

La Liga champions Barcelona have made an increase in their previous bid for Chelsea midfielder Willian to £55m.

According to UK Daily Star report citing sources at Sky Sports News, the Nou Camp dwellers are eager to prise the highly-talented midfielder who has been at Chelsea since 2013.

Stamford Bridge eggheads had snubbed two initial bids of £50m and £53m for the Brazilian.

After being rejected twice, the report suggests the La Liga champions have now raised their offer to £55m.

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde is a supporter of the talented midfielder who can fit into various positions.

The duo of Paulinho and Andres Iniesta have moved on from the Nou Camp outfit this summer, leaving the Catalan side in need of quality additions.

Initially, Barcelona are said to have made £50m bid for Willian, but their offer was turned down by the Stamford Bridge landlords who feel the Brazilian worth more than that.
