A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant for 2019, who is also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, has voiced his optimism that all the party's members contesting for the ticket are capable of winning the election.
Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, a former minister of special duties and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday, July 2, said that any of the aspirants seeking the party’s ticket is capable of defeating President Muhammadu Buhari if given the opportunity, Daily Trust reports.

Turaki, who is also Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), made this comment in Abuja when he visited the PDP national secretariat to notify the National Working Committee (NWC) of his decision to run on the party’s platform.
He stated that the country is more divided than it used to be. In his speech, he remarked: “All our presidential aspirants are eminently qualified to be president of this country and each of us can perform far better than what Buhari is doing now.”
In his free-mindedness and fairness, the SAN said that he is ready to support and work with whoever emerges as the party's candidate
He remarked that the current regime did not find any of the party's members guilty for prosecution three years after, with the exception of the former governors of Plateau and Taraba states, Joshua Dariye and Jolly Nyame, adding that their cases were initiated during the PDP-led government.

Prince Uche Secondus, the PDP national chairman, reacting to this, promised a level playing field for all the aspirants, adding that the days of victimisation and rancour in the PDP were.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had stated that any candidate the opposition party fields for the 2019 presidential election would defeat President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking in Abuja, the nation’s capital, on Thursday, April 12, the PDP chairman opined that there was no way Nigerians would give their votes to Buhari in 2019; as the present administration had failed to deliver majority of its promises.
