Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has tendered an apology on behalf of all the Egypt national team players who have crashed out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Egypt failed to pick any point in their campaign in Group A at the tournament as they lost all their three games against Uruguay, Russia and Saudi Arabia.

Despite missing the first game against Uruguay, Mohamed Salah managed to score two goals at the Russia 2018 World Cup, but his goals could not save his country.

And the 26-year-old has apologized for that, before insisting the team would be back for the 2022 competition in Qatar.

''We want to apologize to all the Egyptian fans, who came to support us here in the three matches.

''I know it is difficult for them, like us. Just want to say that Egypt reached the World Cup after 28 years, some players here do not have the required experience, thanks to all of them and we will back again in 2022,'' Salah told beIN Sports according to Dailymail UK.

Meanwhile, there have been talks that Mohamed Salah is considering to quit the national team after the 2018 World Cup although he is yet to make an official statement on it.
