PDP sends congratulatory message to Adams Oshiomhole on APC national chairmanship victory

The national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, has wished Comrade Adams Oshiomhole well for emerging as the new national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Channels TV reports that Secondus, in a statement signed by his media adviser, Nike Abonyi Monday, June 25, congratulated Oshiomhole for his new position.

“On behalf of my party, the main opposition PDP I wish to congratulate you and pray that democracy would gain a lot in your climbing to the exalted office of your party.

“May I assure you of the PDP’s readiness to provide robust and constructive criticism and hope that the environment would be made conducive for all democratic institutions to strive,” he said.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, the national secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), has said that the recently installed leadership has powered the party for victory ahead of 2019 general elections.

Buni who made this comment on Monday, June 25 in an interview with newsmen, said that the new leadership provides a new opportunity for dialogue and renewal of commitment to the party.

The party's secretary also said that the party will extend hands of fellowship to all aggrieved members in the spirit of unity and peaceful dialogue for the party.

Buni said that the APC would employ the negotiating skill of its new leader in resolving pending issues and reconciling rival factions in the party.
