- Atiku Abubakar has promised to stick with PDP through thick and thin
- The presidential aspirant said he won't decamp from party whether he wins the primaries for the presidential election or not
Former vice president of Nigeria and presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar has said he won't stop working for the interest of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), whether he wins or loses the party's ticket for the presidential election.
Atiku made this statement on Thursday, June 21, at the Wadata plaza, national secretariat of the PDP in Abuja, Vanguard reports.
He was at the party's headquarters to formally notify the National Working Committee (NWC) of his intention to seek the ticket to contest the Presidential election.
Atiku said: "Whether I become the presidential candidate or not, I want to assure you that I will always discharge my obligations to this party.
“If we can sustain the kind of primary that we had in Ekiti, there is no doubt that this party will be on its way to regaining the preeminence in power that we were known for."
