- A joint bid from the United States, Canada, and Mexico has won the right to host the 2026 Fifa World Cup

The United States of America (USA) will host the 2026 World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico after winning the hosting bid over Morocco.

The trio of nations faced strong competition from the North African nation Morocco, whose bidding hope was spearheaded by former Senegalese international El Hadji Doiuf.

However, Morocco could not garner as many votes from the FIFA member countries to match that of USA, Canada and Mexico who presented a joint bid.
