Cristiano Ronaldo was said to have taken the shine off Real Madrid on Saturday after winning their third straight Champions League title in Kiev.
The Galacticos claimed a 3-1 victory over Premier League side Liverpool in the final of the competition to win their 13 top tier European club competition.
But the 33-year-old got all the attention telling his fans through a television interview that he will make known to them where his future lies in a few days.
"Now to enjoy, and in the next few days I will give an answer to the fans that they are on my side, it was very nice to be in Madrid," he told BeIN Sport and Antena 3 reporters.
"In the next few days I will give an answer, now we have to enjoy the moment, the future of any player is not important, we have made history."
However, Los Blancos captain and the entire team were not pleased with the Champions League highest goals scorer for making such announcement according to the Sun quoting Marca.
The publication also claims that the Spaniard told Ronaldo in the dressing room what he did was inappropriate, adding that he didn’t do the right thing at the right time.
"It's not good what you've done, it was not the right moment to say it. You have to take a step back and we will help you. We are with you, but help yourself too".
Meanwhile, the Portuguese superstar was said to have apologized at the next available opportunity he had, admitting that he shouldn’t have said what he said at the time he did.
"A player's personal things aren't the most important thing now, it might have been taken out of context but maybe I shouldn't have said what I said," Real's number seven added.
"But when you are honest, sometimes you say things that you don’t mean to, but it’s something that’s been a long time coming.
"I’ll talk in a week when I am with the national team because I don’t want to take this top moment away from Real Madrid."
And at Real Madrid's trophy parade, Ronaldo seemed to hint that he was going to stay at La Liga club.
Grabbing the mic, he yelled: "Thank guys, see you next year."
Ronaldo became the most successful player in the history of the Champions League after winning his fifth title last weekend.
Meanwhile, he also holds the all-time highest goal record in the competition with over 120 goals in all appearances.
He won his first UEFA top tier competition title while at Manchester United in 2008 and has gone ahead to win four more with his Spanish league side.
