Officers who have the GL 2/S 1 can expect no more than N250,000 per year and if they advance to the S 15 while staying on the same grade level, they can receive about N300,000 per year. These employees are, as well, somehow limited in their advancement and cannot receive more money beyond a particular stage.

The grade level advancement is significant for officers who can receive about N300,000 at the GL 6/S1 and only about N500,000 at the GL 6/S 15.
