Argentina have released their 23-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup staging in Russia with Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi topping the list of the invited players.
Also included in coach Paolo Sampaoli's team for the championship kicking off next month is Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala.
Manchester City striker, Sergio Kun Aguero, Paris Saint Germain winger Angel Di Maria, Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo also made the cut as the south American team will be hoping to go beyond their last outing in Brazil, where they lost 1-0 to Germany in the final.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi is conspicuously missing in the contingent, while Racing Club starlet Lautaro Martinez was also left out of the team.
Icardi scored 29 goals in 34 Italian Serie A matches in the recently concluded season, while his tally stood at 32 in all competitions.
The Albiceleste boast of a robust attack going for the competition with City striker Aguero netting 30 goals for the Premier League champions despite missing the last few games to the wrap of the season.
Sampaoli believes Aguero will be back stronger for the team despite missing their friendly games against Italy and Spain during the FIFA international window in March
Lionel Messi received the golden boot award on the last day of the league for scoring the most league goals in the Spanish League.
