The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to their owners will begin Monday, May 21.
Legit.ng gathered that the commission in a tweet said the PVCs distributed are for those who registered in 2017. It also includes for those who applied for transfers and replacement
The distribution of PVCs will be at the INEC LGA offices nationwide and other designated centres as approved by the commission.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Senator Oluremi Tinubu, representing Lagos Central senatorial district on Sunday, May 6, urged the federal government to declare public holidays for collection of PVCs, ahead of the December 2018 deadline.
Oluremi, in a statement in Lagos, said that the PVCs were the tools to participating in the forthcoming 2019 general elections, urging residents in the state to ensure that they collect theirs.
