The Nigeria Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Monday, May 21, has revealed that the nation’s economy grew by 1.95% in the first quarter of 2018
The Nigeria Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday, May 21, said annthat the country’s economic growth slowed to 1.95 percent in first quarter of 2018, Q1’18, from 2.11 percent in fourth quarter of 2017.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the Nigerian economy grew by 0.82 % in 2017, the National Bureau of Statistics stated in a release on Tuesday, February 27.
The 0.82 % growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is an improvement over the contraction of -1.58% which the economy recorded in 2016 during the period of recession.
Also, Legit.ng reported that NBS had confirmed that the country was finally out of recession with a positive growth in its Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
The confirmation was made by Dr Yemi Kale, the statistician-general of the federation, in the morning of Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
