French League champions Paris Saint Germain have reportedly concluded plans to sign Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon this summer.

The 2006 world cup winning goalkeeper has revealed that he will end his 17-year-reign with Juve at the end of this league season.

However, the 40-year-old is also said to be wanted by Spanish League giants Real Madrid, who might be hoping to key into the keeper’s experience going into next season.

Buffon announced his retirement from international football when Italy failed to qualify for this year’s FIFA World Cup staging in Russia.

But the shot-stopper might be considering to go a couple more years between the sticks but for another club side in a different league.

He revealed that he had received several “interesting proposals” which might force him to prolong his playing days.

French news outlet Le Parisien claims that PSG have already established contact with the Italian, while SunSport reported on Thursday that Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in the experienced goalkeeper.

Reports in France also states that Madrid, who have been looking for a new goalkeeper for some time, would also welcome Buffon with open arms.

Buffon has won almost every accolade in football, but the Champions League title has evaded the goalie, and might join Madrid who are seasoned campaigners in the competition.

The French League champions are hoping that they can lure the goalkeeper to France to help them with their own ambitions of conquering the continent.

Reacting to his last game for Juventus against Verona on Saturday, he said: "Saturday will be my last match with Juventus and I do believe it will be the most beautiful thing to end my amazing adventure this way.

"What will I do next? For now I only know that I will play a game on Saturday. Until a few days ago it was certain that I would stop playing. Interesting proposals have now arrived."

Buffon joined Juventus in 2001 after spending six seasons at Parma, and has gone ahead to feature over 500 matches for the Old Lady.

He has won nine Italian Serie A titles since he joined Juve, with five Coppa Italia and five Italian Super Cups.
