Babangida, Dangote meet in Minna behind closed door

Africa’s richest man and president of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, on Thursday, May 17, visited former military president, Ibrahim Babangida, at his Hilltop Mansion in Minna, the state capital and both of them held a closed-door meeting.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Dangote was accompanied by his daughter, Halima Dangote and her husband, Suleiman Bello and some members of Dangote group.

According to the report, Dangote was in Minna to attend the launching and disbursement of Aliko Dangote Foundation N250 million micro grant to 25,000 vulnerable women.

After attending the event at Justice Legbo Idris Conference Hall, he was accompanied by Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger state, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah, the deputy majority leader and Mikail Bmitosahi, the chief of staff to Governor Bello.

The report said the closed-door meeting held by the duo lasted for more than one hour and that Dangote did not disclosed to journalists the outcome.

PAY ATTENTION: Read the news on Nigeria’s #1 news app earlier reported that the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, along with members of the PDP National Working Committee met with former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida in Minna on Monday, April 16.

The team arrived at the Minna airport with a chartered flight and was driven in a motorcade to the uphill residence of Babangida.

The meeting was held behind closed doors in the presence of members of the Niger state working committee of the party led by the chairman, Barrister Tanko Beji.
