According to Daily Star, Martial was initially scheduled to feature against the Hornets, but his exclusion in that match day squad fueled speculations that he has dumped the team, but Mourinho eased those fears by stating he suffered an injury.

The Red Devils weren’t expecting Lukaku back this early after picking up an injury in their 2-1 victory over Arsenal late last month.

It was also reported that the Belgian had struggled with recovery, and had gone to his native land for rehabilitation, but his return will boost the confidence of his team.

Conte has been a shadow of himself in his second season at the club after winning the EPL title in his first year convincingly.

The best the Blues have done this season is finished fifth on the log and condemned to play in the Europa League for the second time after winning the title in the 2012/13 season.
