Comrade Adams Oshiomole has been endorsed as the next national chairman of the APC by the ruling party's caucus in the House of Representatives.
This was after the former governor of Edo state met the federal lawmakers in Abuja on Tuesday, May 15.
Majority leader of the House of Representatives, Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila, told journalists after the meeting, that the lawmakers will queue behind Oshiomole in his quest to emerge as the party's national chairman.
He also made this known on his Twitter page (@femigbaja) where he also shared photos of the meeting.
On Tuesday, April 24, President Muhammadu Buhari met with the APC governors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he endorsed Oshiomhole for the chairmanship of the party.
Many of the party's officials have since aligned with the president's endorsement and have queued behind the former labour leader turned politician.
Meanwhile, the APC on Monday, April 23, inaugurated its national convention planning committee.
The 68-member national convention committee is chaired by the governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar.
The committee was inaugurated at the APC national secretariat in Abuja by the national chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
