Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has reconciled the two warring factions of the state House of Assembly.
Ganduje reportedly held a meeting late Tuesday, night with the two feuding factions according to a statement by the commissioner for information, Mohammed Garbage.
The press statement read: "Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has reconciled the two warring factions of the state House of Assembly.
"Following the reconciliation which brought the crisis to an end, the Assembly will reopen on Thursday to further consolidate the resolutions reached at the meeting.
"The reconciliation meeting was held late yesterday at the Government House between representatives of the two feuding factions and Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who intervened to resolve the crisis in the interest of peace and democratic development of the state. The meeting was held in a matured and responsible manner."

Recall that Legit.ng earlier reported that members of G24 of Kano state House of Assembly on Tuesday, May 15, forced their way into the premises of the Assembly complex. They consequently announced the impeachment of all the principal officers of the Assembly.
Those impeached included the majority leader, deputy majority leader, the minority leader, house leader and chief whip.
Leader of the G24, and former speaker of the House, Kabiru Alhassan Rurum of Rano constituency, who announced it noted that the feat was achieved by the simple majority of their number.
